Abstract

The two experimental applications that will be presented in this chapter allow linking the strategic design of the futures with the ideas of Soft Computing, which has the ability to move between the qualitative and the quantitative. The development of experimental applications highlights the value of a triad: anticipation + learning + adaptation, which is developed primarily through the initial ability to recognize endo- and exo-signals. Then, it integrates the strategic design into a cognitive model that reflects the knowledge that those involved in the process of building the future have about the system itself. And finally, it turns the process of inference that helps build the future into systematic action. The objective is to achieve the skills to anticipate and know the dynamic behavior of the system over time, so that it is possible to make decisions and act in a way that favors adaptation.
