Abstract
This work presents a demonstrator system for supporting the assessment of workload, fatigue and acute stress in the military domain, in order to provide information of the cognitive readiness of individuals and groups. Based on a set of biosignal and activity sensors and digitally implemented tests, the system can provide this for the different levels of the command chain. In this paper, the cognitive tests included in the demonstrator are described, and early data from a five-day field training period and battle tank simulator training sessions are shown. At its current state of development, the system appears promising and the work will continue. The primary target is in collecting information for operational decisions and detecting the need for recovery. However, when integrated to conscript and staff training, the demonstrator could help in long-term designing and optimizing the content of different training curricula.
