This chapter discusses the soil taxonomy of each of the 10 Major Land Resource Areas in Nevada, including the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Malheur High Plateau, the Humboldt Area, the Owyhee High Plateau, the Carson Basin and Mountains, the Fallon-Lovelock Area, the Great Salt Lake Area, the Central Nevada Basin and Range, the Southern Nevada Basin and Range, and the Mojave Desert.
