Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the differences in toilet behavior and consciousness between the sexes. Questionnaire indicated that most people still have a negative impression of portable toilets. After re-designing the portable toilet, this study conducted observation experiments to simulate the use of the toilet again, and obtained the optimal space dimensions of the assembled portable toilet. The flush pump should be placed on the floor near the toilet’s right side. The toilet paper holder and toilet liquid should be placed on the right side of the toilet paper holder, and the cleaning liquid should be placed on the left side of the toilet paper holder. The toilet paper holder’s height and the toilet paper cleaner should be 40–60 cm high from the front end of the toilet seat. The hook should be placed behind the door at a distance of 160–180 cm from the ground.
