Abstract

The topological properties is applied to the integration of traditional crafts and modern jewelry to achieve more extension of Luodian lanterns among young people. This paper proceeds the eye movement experiments from the users. The rabbit ears with distinct characteristic structure and the head-body transition and body-tail transition with the highest intimacy are selected to proceed the structural evolution based on the topological constraints. On this basis, taking the lantern element as the image and the frame structure as the form proceed the design of national style earrings. It has been confirmed that young people prefer jewelry derived from traditional culture via the popularity degree evaluation, and also found young people have high psychological expectations for jewelry derived from traditional culture through the evaluation of satisfaction degree. Furthermore, the topological properties is also verified successfully applying to the integration of traditional crafts and modern jewelry.
