Abstract

Finland is one of the world’s top high-welfare developed countries in terms of national happiness and environmental performance. Finnish furniture design has long been a global leader, leading the world in terms of concepts and techniques, and it is also one of the first countries to advocate and practice the concept of sustainable design. This article first introduces the development process of sustainable furniture design in Finland and analyzes its origin and flow. In addition, in-depth understanding of the sustainability performance of Finnish furniture designers, design companies and works, combined with the concept and characteristics of sustainable design and the ecological principles followed by Finnish furniture, summarized a set of sustainable furniture design Principles and methods of sexual design.
