Abstract

Design is a field of knowledge that studies objects and the relationships they establish with human beings. It plays a fundamental role in designing artifacts, equipment, and structures, intended to be used by most people, regardless of age or condition. The development of new specific games for a senior distribution designed by designers, outlined with a collaboration of extended professional teams with complementary skills and competencies that integrate users in their design, is crucial to overcome the stigma referenced with the notion that games are used exclusively in childhood and adolescence. Involving end-users in project development, taking into account what is relevant, allows for faster and more effective results. Listening, seeing, and analyzing are approaches the project must integrate since what the elderly say sometimes is not what they think, feel, or do.
