Abstract
In this paper, we discuss different approaches for structural modeling and behavioral simulation of an existing mechatronic system. We describe the application of separate tools and models as well as their interaction to implement a co-simulation. In addition to the architecture of the co-simulation, we introduce a new approach to allow a direct control and manipulation of the 3D model through user interaction during simulation.
