Abstract

Contemporary problems of housing architecture focus mainly on saving the environment and sustainable spatial planning. An equally important aspect of the environment is its impact on people. One of the determinants of space is its aesthetics. The use of modern, energy-saving building materials often changes this aesthetics. The aim of the work is to analyse selected elements of architecture and space affecting this aesthetics. New objects and spaces located in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway were selected for the research. The main elements of the research are: the size of buildings, construction of buildings and organization of space. The study was based on subject literature and photographic documentation. Examples of specific technological elements of renewable energy used to build facilities are discussed. Analysis of the examples showed the correlation between aesthetics and pro-ecological technologies and building materials. The technologies used have a large impact on people in the architectural space, affect the comfort of use and the quality of this space.
