Research on Comparison Experiment of Visual Fatigue Caused by Smart TV and Micro-projector

Abstract

Visual fatigue is caused by excessive use of the eyes for a long period of time. Subjective and objective measurements are used to compare the differences of visual fatigue caused by Smart TV and Micro-projector in this study. The data of CFF, PMA and subjective questionnaire were collected before and after viewing. Results showed that CFF, PMA and Subjective scores were all significant differences (all ps > 0.05). The result revealed that visual fatigue caused by Micro-projector was more than traditional TV. In conclusion, this study suggests that traditional TV products are even better than micro- projector for the observer’s visual health in the long run.
