Abstract

This paper takes the 210 female college students at the age of 18–23 in Guangzhou as the research subject, observes the colors of their winter clothing and makes ranking statistics, so as to analyze the reasons for selection of different colors. The tendency of dress color selection for female college students is investigated. Finally, it summarizes the characteristics of dress color for female college students in Guangdong, and analyzes the factors that may affect color selection, such as native place, age, specialty, personality, skin color, figure, temperament, popularity, personal preference and clothing consumption. It is important to study the physical, psychological and environmental factors that affect dress selection for female college students, which is of great value for the product design and marketing of related clothing brands. It can also provide guidance on the misunderstandings and related problems in the dress color for the female college students.
