Abstract
This chapter introduces you to regression analysis in RStudio and to regression diagnostic. You learn the basic concept of a linear regression model as well as how to perform a regression analysis. An important focus is also the understanding of the RStudio output and the results. Furthermore, we learn about ways to check the assumptions of the linear regression model. Only if the assumptions are fulfilled the results can be meaningfully interpreted and used.
