Abstract
In cricket domain, the team players are selected on the basis of various factors like runs, strike rate, etc. Here, a concept of co-players is introduced for predicting the rising stars for better team selection. Various essential features for batsmen and bowler are evaluated. Analysis for selecting the best features is done. Using machine learning techniques, the actual prediction of top 10 rising stars is done. Also, a concept of all-rounder is introduced besides batting and bowling domain and is taken into account for the prediction. This is matched with the International Cricket Council (ICC) status or position of player.
