Metal ion capacitors

Topic introduction: (1) Theoretical (computational) or experimental design of novel electrodes for MICs. (2) The kinetic/capacity matching methods and coupling mechanisms between cathodes and anodes. (3) The pre-lithiation/pre-sodiation/pre-potassiation strategies of the anodes. (4) Advanced in-situ/operando and ex-situ characterizations in structural evolution of the involved electrodes. (5) Synthesis and optimization strategies of novel electrolytes for MICs including quasi solid-state and solid-state electrolytes, non-aqueous and aqueous electrolytes, and ionic liquids. (6) Design and construction of metal or non-metal current collectors with advanced structures for MICs. (7) Fabrication of flexible, micro-size and/or fiber-like MICs for flexible and wearable electronics. (8) Device-/material-level evaluation of MICs under particular external fields like temperatures, stress, magnetic field, radiation, and so on. (9) Reviews of advanced electrodes and electrolytes for Li/Na/K/Zn/Mg/Ca/Al based ion capacitors.
