Abstract

Acute retinal pigment epithelitis (ARPE) is a rare, transient macular disorder that usually occurs in healthy young adults. The pathogenesis remains unknown but the diseases is characterized by a good prognosis with no need for treatment. A multimodal imaging approach including optical coherence tomography, fluorescein angiography and Indocyanine green angiography helps in differentiating ARPE from other inflammatory conditions, avoiding useless therapies.
