The Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE)

The Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (this opens in a new tab) was established in April 1978 as a non-profit organization for the The Korean Society of Automotive Engineerspurpose of advancing and developing automotive science and technology in Korea, contributing to the promotion of science and culture, and the progress of industries and the economy as well.

The KSAE has about 9,800 individual members who are engaged in automotive related areas including industries, academic and research fields, 210 libraries and laboratories, and 208 corporation members. The KSAE provides its members with opportunities to exchange information and opinions concerning updated results of studies through scientific lectures, research papers (transactions), presentations, and workshops as well as conferences convened annually in spring and fall. It also distributes Auto Journal (Journal of the KSAE), International Journal of Automotive Technology (IJAT) in English, and various kinds of publications.

Its activities also cover automotive research and studies, establishing automotive related Korean Standards (KS), recognize those who made remarkable contributions to automotive technology studies by giving awards. The KSAE not only exerts itself to promote automotive technologies, but also supports and nurtures excellent researchers and engineers.
