Abstract

Jacques Cujas, French jurist of the sixteenth century, is one of the greatest representatives of the legal humanism. Cujas is a prolific author: his Opera omnia represent ten volumes in folio, which concern mainly Roman law, but also canon law and feudal law. He applies a historical method, which represents one of the biggest divide with medieval jurisprudence.
