Definition of Operative Terms

Service:

This denotes deliberate, paid, or free rendition of competences, practices, or assistance provided by or received through public or private relationships for someone or something. Service is the matrix and measure of all competences, interoperations, and capacities.

Public service:

This is primarily the service of the state by the people and the people by the state. This is effected through procedural execution of public policies in the conduct of government businesses, at the various tiers of public interoperations and/or organizations, for overriding public good and development.

SERVICOM:

Simply means Service Compact between Nigerian government and the people of Nigeria. It demonstrates Nigerian government commitment to citizen-centric governance and the upholding of the people’s right to be served right at all times.
