Introduction
The 400 Years of African-American History Commission Act, referred to as the Act or the 400YAAHCA, is the federal policy responsible for the establishment of the 400 Years of African-American History Commission and other purposes. The primary duty of the Commission is to lead and manage the national 400-year commemoration of the 1619 arrival of Africans in the English colonies at Point Comfort, Virginia.
