Definition
Violence against children has become a crucial issue of concern for every community as big as that of protecting our environment. It is the misuse of power by other that endangers or impairs a child’s physical or emotional health and development. Its destructive effects can harm children in every sphere of life, impacting families, communities, and nations and reaching across generations. A child is a future wealth of a nation, but vulnerabilities towards children have increased in an alarming rate, putting a negative impact on the future development of a nation. If children are given the opportunities for proper growth and development and are protected against abuse and exploitation, the human resource development can take place benefiting the development of every nation. Violence against children is widespread in the form of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, child labor, child marriage, etc. hampering social progress and development.
