Definition
Poverty- Poverty is the inability of a person to earn a minimum amount to sustain himself and to meet the minimum standards for living.
Objectives
The SDG1 calls for removal of poverty by 2030. Poverty is the root cause behind violence, poor health, and lack of resources with people. “Fragility, conflict, and violence” (FCV) is a big challenge for governments. These three reasons are the most important causes of poverty. They are affecting the poor the most, converting them into extreme poverty and forcing them to lead a precarious life. About two billion people in the world are so poor that they don’t even have bank accounts or access to other financial services. It is imperative to involve these people in the mainstream development and enable them to avail of financial services.
