Definition

Sustainable production practices are those which produce goods and provide services to cater to the actual needs of people ensuring that the process of production takes from nature only such elements as raw material which can be replenished by nature within a reasonable time. Further, the production process is carried out in a manner that does not cause any irreparable loss to the ecosystem, and the ready product after use can be disposed of without leaving a non-biodegradable trash. The neglect of such practices results in pollution, loss of biodiversity, and resource depletion and above all leaves carbon footprints responsible for climate change.
