Definition
Social class is a fundamental concept in the study of how societies organize themselves and how social stratification happens among different societies during the time. In a very simple and objective way, a social class is a distinction and a social division that results from the unequal distribution of the access to advantages and resources, from the most basic ones like food and shelter to more complex ones such as hierarchy, prestige, influence, and power. Sociology defines social class primarily on the basis of how these distinctions and divisions are identified. Middle class normally is defined as the one socioeconomically located between the working class and upper class is the society.
