Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to review the literature on posterior urethral valves (PUVs) and to provide a succinct, yet comprehensive summary thereof, focusing on patient presentation, diagnosis, management, and outcomes. A directed PUBMED literature review of PUVs was performed, with emphasis placed on clinically relevant articles that might guide the clinician in the evaluation and management of patients. Key points are discussed herein.
