Zusammenfassung
Die internationale Unternehmenskommunikation muss sich neuen Herausforderungen stellen. Die klassischen Strukturen, Strategien und Instrumente bei der über Staats-, Sprach- und Kulturgrenzen hinweg wirkenden Herstellung und Pflege von Kommunikationsbeziehungen zwischen einem Unternehmen und seinen internen und externen Anspruchsgruppen haben sich seit Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts bereits deutlich verändert. Unter den Bedingungen einer sich beschleunigt herausbildenden ökonomischen Postmoderne stehen die bisherigen Vorgehensweisen nun grundsätzlich in Frage. Konnte auf die zunehmende Globalisierung der Wirtschaft bei gleichzeitiger Digitalisierung der Medien zunächst noch mit der Anpassung überkommener Prinzipien internationaler Kommunikationsarbeit wie One-voice-policy und Think global, act local reagiert werden, so geht es nunmehr um ein völlig neues Paradigma der internationalen Unternehmenskommunikation. Dieser Beitrag skizziert die fundamentalen Auswirkungen der sich rasch entfaltenden 4. Industriellen Revolution auf die Gesellschaft im Allgemeinen und die Unternehmen im Speziellen, identifiziert Herausforderungen für das Kommunikationsmanagement und zeigt Strategien zur Bewältigung auf.
