Zusammenfassung
Essenzieller Tremor ist die häufigste Bewegungsstörung. Sie wird in erster Linie durch einen distalen Haltetremor an den oberen Extremitäten gekennzeichnet. Nur ein Teil der Betroffenen sucht ärztlichen Rat auf. Der essenzielle Tremor wird häufig als Parkinson-Syndrom fehldiagnostiziert. Die Behandlung basiert auf Aufklärung, Verhaltenstherapie, Betablockern, Primidon und in ausgewählten Fällen der Stereotaxie.
