Zusammenfassung
Die Diagnostik und Therapie kardialer Erkrankungen weist wegen oft ähnlicher oder gemeinsamer Symptome viele Berührungspunkte mit neurologischen Diagnose- und Therapieverfahren auf. Die Aufgabe des klinisch tätigen Neurologen liegt hier in der sicheren Differenzierung potenziell beiden Fachgebieten zuzuordnenden Krankheitsbildern. Neurologische Symptome primär kardialer Erkrankungen müssen erkannt und in interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit analysiert werden. Andererseits gilt es, bei nur sekundär kardialer Symptomatik nach sicherem Ausschluss kardialer Grund- oder Begleiterkrankungen unverzögert eine weiterführende neurologische Diagnostik und Therapie einzuleiten. Der kardiologischen Anamneseerhebung, der Identifizierung von primär z. B. durch Herzrhythmusstörungen oder ein akutes Koronarsyndrom bedingten Symptomen, der Indikation und dem Umfang internistisch-kardiologischer Diagnostik und der Wertung spezieller kardiologischer Diagnoseverfahren wird daher in diesem Kapitel besondere Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet. Behandlungsindikationen bei kardialen Erkrankungen/Symptomen mit neurologischer Manifestation werden diskutiert.
