Zusammenfassung
Die hereditären motorisch-sensiblen Neuropathien (HMSN) gehören mit einer Prävalenz von 20–40 Erkrankungen auf 100.000 Einwohner zu den häufigsten erblichen neurologischen Erkrankungen. Die Bestimmung des PMP22-Gens bei Verdacht auf HMSN I oder HNPP ist etablierte Diagnostik. Bei den hepatischen Porphyrien kombinieren sich akute abdominelle Symptome mit sensomotorischen Neuropathien. Bei den hereditären Amyloidosen treten distale sensomotorische und autonome Polyneuropathien auf.
