Zusammenfassung

Durchblutungsstörungen und Blutungen zählen zu den selteneren Erkrankungen des Rückenmarks. Da sie jedoch meist schwerwiegende neurologische Ausfälle zur Folge haben, ist ihre Prävention, Früherkennung und – soweit möglich – Behandlung von entscheidender Bedeutung für die weitere Lebensqualität der Betroffenen. Spinale Ischämien und Blutungen verdienen auch deshalb besondere Aufmerksamkeit, da das Risiko einer iatrogenen Auslösung besonders hoch ist, etwa im Zusammenhang mit chirurgischen Eingriffen an der Aorta, spinalen Anästhesieverfahren und Antikoagulationsbehandlungen. Durch verfeinerte MR-tomografische und angiografische Methoden wurde die pathogenetische Aufklärungsrate spinaler Durchblutungsstörungen und Blutungen in den letzten Jahren gesteigert. Durch die Entwicklung neuer Embolisations- und Operationstechniken haben sich die therapeutischen Aussichten insbesondere bei spinalen Hämatomen und Gefäßmalformationen deutlich verbessert.
