Iosif Izrailevich-Girshevich Vorovich (*21 June 1920 in Starodub, a town in the Bryansk region of the USSR, † 6 September 2001 in Rostov on Don, Russia) was an outstanding Soviet and Russian mathematician and mechanicist who worked in the fields of mathematical elasticity and the mechanics of shells.
