Abstract
Hypopyon that complicates the course of uveitis must make aware of potential systemic associations and conditions that could require a prompt management. A stepwise diagnostic approach guided by medical history and clinical examination together with conscious interpretation of tests results is mandatory to guide the physician in the differentiation between infective, inflammatory, and neoplastic disorders. Timely therapeutic management is essential to avoid serious sequelae for patients in terms of poor visual prognosis and lifetime expectancy.
