Abstract

Eales’ disease is an idiopathic retinal vasculitis seen in young adult males and is more prevalent in the Indian subcontinent. Due to the high endemicity of tuberculosis in the Indian subcontinent, the tubercle bacilli are implicated in the pathogenesis of this condition. Due to occlusive vasculitis and retinal ischemia, this condition is characterized by development of retinal neovascularization.
