Abstract
Crohn’s disease (CrD) is a chronic relapsing multisystem disease that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition to inflammatory bowel disease, CrD may be associated with weight loss, growth impairment, and other extraintestinal manifestations such as arthritis and erythema nodosum. Uveitis is an important extraintestinal association of CrD that can affect 3–12 % of the patients. Uveitis associated with CrD most commonly presents with anterior segment manifestations such as scleritis, keratitis, anterior uveitis, and corneal ulcers. Posterior segment involvement is less common and can present with retinal vasculitis, choroiditis, and optic neuritis, among others. The treatment of CrD-associated uveitis includes systemic corticosteroids and/or immunosuppressive agents. The following chapter describes a number of cases of CrD-associated uveitis presented with protean manifestations.
