Definition
Specialized law consisting of compacts, statutes, and policies governs the intersection of the security management and emergency management.
Introduction
Specialized law affects everyone who works in the fields of security and emergency management. This entry summarizes some of the most significant prescriptions and proscriptions needed for routine day-to-day operations and emergency operations of security management and emergency management agencies which rely upon authorizations and appropriations to accomplish core missions. In the next section, some of the most important and commonly applied laws in those realms, laws that provide the basis for compacts between governments and private entities, as well as overarching policies for the way ahead, are described.
